Manor Community Live-In Carer 6-month Fixed Term Contract | Salary Pro- rata for 6 months from
Bristol Southwest | £800 - £1,100 per week

The Role:
Experienced with a compassionate and caring ability, as a Live-In Carer you’ll provide 24-hour support and companionship to our client in their own home. You’ll be friendly and meets the clients’ needs with the ability to maintain a great level of professionalism, ensuring all the requirements of the role are met to a high standard.

What you’ll be doing:
- Provide personal care, whilst maintaining the client’s dignity, you’ll assist with personal hygiene including bathing, washing, and dressing.
- Assist with toileting and continence care with dignity and respect.
- Support with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment.
- Administer medication, safely as prescribed and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly to the necessary healthcare professionals.
- Prepare healthy nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences, eating and drinking as necessary.
- Involve the client with tasks where possible, helping to develop a bonding experience. Managing household tasks including light cleaning and laundry, ensuring all areas are clean, safe and tidy at all times and identifying potential hazards.
- Support with medical appointments and attending social activities with the client.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Follow infection control procedures.
- Keep accurate care records and daily logs.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow care plans.
- Liaise with family members, healthcare professionals, and other care providers.

What you’ll bring:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience in a care setting ideally, domiciliary or residential, in a client’s home.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professionalism.
- Patience, empathy, and genuine care for others with the ability to build a trusted client/ carer relationship.
- Ability to work independently with the ability to use initiative and maintain high care standards.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within a personal environment.
- High level of understanding confidentiality and safeguarding
- Clean UK driving licence preferred (but not essential)
- Non-smoker preferred due to client requirements
- Comfortable with domestic pets if applicable to the client.

Experience of providing support to residents would be an advantage but not essential as fully paid training will be provided.
The Role :
You’ll support and assist our residents, to fulfil their daily and long-term goals, creating positive outcomes in their lives. Working in a passionate way to provide excellent person-centred care to our residents, you’ll ensure all our residents are happy and cared for in the best way possible. Please note due to the requirements of the service, this position is for nights only.
What you’ll be doing
- Administer medication to residents, with due diligence and care.
- Provide dignified personal care to our residents when necessary.
- Proactively make a difference with our residents and supporting with decision making and lifestyle choices to continually provide person- centred care, including seeking to provide a range of activities for residents, by keeping abreast of local media and event sites.
- Demonstrating strong clear communication skills, communicating with colleagues and residents in a calm and confident, caring manner.
- Keeping residents records up to date and ensuring notes are made in a clear and concise manner, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
- Keep up to date with mandatory and ad hoc training courses when required. Attend regular supervision with your senior team to ensure high standard and values are always maintained.
- Uphold your rota and communicating any changes to the senior team.
- Support our residents to maintain a habitual home environment.
What you’ll bring:
- A naturally caring disposition and be passionate about the care you deliver.
- Strong command of written and verbal English.
- Full clean UK Driving Licence and access to a car would be preferred.
- Valid Care certification and Oliver McGowan Training.
- Enhanced adult workforce DBS on the update service.
- Experience of working within a supported living or community setting would be advantageous.
